Course Description

Whether you're picking up a paintbrush for the first time or looking to rediscover your creativity, the Everyday Watercolour Workshop Series is designed to help you feel comfortable exploring watercolour at your own pace. Each workshop features a different theme, giving you the opportunity to try new subjects, techniques, and creative approaches while building a strong foundation in watercolour. Every session begins with an introduction to the medium, including essential techniques, colour mixing, and practical tips to help you better understand how watercolour behaves. You'll then follow along with step-by-step demonstrations before creating your own finished painting to take home. These workshops are designed to encourage curiosity, experimentation, and confidence. Rather than focusing on perfection, you'll learn how to embrace the unique qualities of watercolour while developing skills you can continue to use in your own creative practice. No previous experience is required, and all materials and supplies are included. Just bring yourself and a willingness to play, learn, and enjoy the process. What to expect: - A new theme and project in every workshop - A guided introduction to watercolour techniques and colour mixing - Step-by-step demonstrations and individual support - All supplies provided - A finished painting to take home at the end of the session Botanical Studies: Discover the beauty of botanical illustration through loose, expressive watercolour. This workshop introduces techniques for painting flowers, leaves, stems, and natural textures while building confidence with brush control and transparent layers. Rather than striving for perfect realism, we'll focus on observation, colour, and capturing the character of each plant.
